Workshop Day for Potential Applicants
The CPS Recruiting & Selection Unit is now offering potential applicants a day of mentorship through our application process.
The Calgary Police Service (CPS) Workshop Day for Potential Applicants is a full-day program facilitated by members of our recruiting and fitness units at CPS Headquarters.
Throughout the day, participants will take part in instructional and physical activities related to the Alberta Physical Readiness Evaluation for Police Officers (A-PREP), the Behavioural Descriptive Interview (BDI) and the Alberta Police Cognitive Ability Test (APCAT).
This is a great opportunity to take advantage of several programs in one day!
Requirements and Preparation:
– Dress code: Workout clothes and suitable footwear
– A pen and paper
– Lunch – there will not be an opportunity to purchase food or drink on-site.
– A-PREP Orientation – this is a physical orientation:
– Medical clearance form, completed and signed by a physician. To download the form please click here.

Cancellation Policy: We kindly ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you cannot attend a session you have RSVP’d for. Our events fill up quickly and cancelled spots will be filled accordingly through our waitlist.
