APCAT Workshop

This workshop provides you with tips, tricks, and examples to better help you in writing the APCAT.

The Alberta Police Cognitive Abilities Test (APCAT) is a mandatory, job-related written examination that is completed in stage three of the application process. This exam is a provincial standard; results are valid for five years and transferable to all municipal police agencies in the province.

The APCAT consists of 120 multiple choice questions and applicants must achieve a score of 70 per cent to pass.

This workshop is built to help you gain confidence when writing the exam. During the workshop you will be provided with sample questions, as well as a take-home portion for you to practice on your own.

Upcoming APCAT Workshops

We off two options for the APCAT workshop. Both options cover the same scope of content, with variances in sample questions and techniques. We recommend you complete both options, but they do not need to be completed in any particular order.
